After my final year of university, I decided to apply for an Amal career fellowship and luckily I got selected for it out of thousands of applications. This fellowship is all about building & strengthening those skills which an individual needs to become a successful professional. During the first week of this fellowship, I understood that applying for this fellowship was one of the best decisions that I took. Performing all the individual and group activities actually broaden and somehow changed my perspective of so many things like; teamwork, the impact of gratitude, the importance of going extra mile, etc.

The part of Amal that actually gave me a new vision & perspective was One on One session with our managers. In these sessions, we were free to ask as many questions as we want and there were no restrictions on the type of question you asks.
I took this chance and asked the questions that were bothering me the most from my new job. I asked questions regarding the trust issues we all face at the workplace, we discussed the energies, vibes, and gut feelings, I asked regarding the future education and potential opportunities. An hour-long session, a meter-long list of questions, and 2 individuals sharing their experiences and thoughts. This was a whole new experience for me, sharing my thoughts freely without the fear of being judged and then receiving constructive feedback, listening to my manager's point of view on a day to day issues that we usually don't even discuss no matter how much they affect us.

After this session, I realized how important it is to discuss your thoughts. I recommend you all to find a person in life to whom you can just talk about all the major and minor things in life freely without being afraid of judgment. That will definitely give ou a new vision.
