It is a story of 6 students, who were doing the virtual fellowship at AMAL academy, Pakistan. This was a time of lockdown due to the COVID’s third wave. They were living their lives, submitting their assignments doing their course till one day their Program Manager assigned a task to collect charity within 2 weeks as a challenge.

Students: Within 2 weeks?
Program Manager: Yes! 2 weeks.
Students: During the time of COVID?
Program Manager: Yes! During the time of COVID.

The students left with no other option except to accept the challenge. They had arranged multiple virtual meetings to brainstorm the methods that can be used to collect charity during the lockdown.

They decided to collect funds virtually. They promised each other not to take a step back and try their level best to achieve their goal. An online form and poster were designed by them and they start circulating it in their circle of friends and family.

The number of responses they got opened their eyes. They only got 3 responses on their online survey, which they shared with thousands of individuals. This was the day they felt that failure was knocking on their doorstep. Although they knew from the beginning that it would not be an easy task especially when the COVID at its peak. They discussed the situation and tried to build everyone’s confidence again which got shattered after knowing the response.

They counseled each other that it’s not necessary to succeed in every project. We, humans, make mistakes and by these mistakes, we learn and again stand against failure. Just the way we accept and embrace our success we need to accept as well as embrace our failures too. In the end, we should keep trying and focus on our learning, not to worry about the results.
